Chrysalis Vegan Arts also presents a collection of handcrafted candles - branded Xemgħa Xewkija - made with soy wax or upcycled wax. The latest of Xemgħa Xewkija - Maltese for Candles from Xewkija - are themed as either Rose Gold or Blueberry Velvet.

The Rose Gold batch emit a mildly sweet scent of rose complemented by earthy tones of sandalwood and vanilla. They are coloured in a soft, peachy hue and sprinkled with bronze-coloured magical dust.

The Blueberry Velvet batch allow a mild scent throw of blueberry-inspired scents comprising of a unique blend of citrusy oils with vanilla and other sweet oils. The wax is coloured in shades of purple, smokey blue, and anything in-between.

The latest batch of candles would not have been possible were it not for upcycled wax kindly provided by another local business - Encanto Getaways Gozo. These freshly created candles also bear new labels made from high-quality UV-printed decals by another local business, Viper Grafix Signs. These labels are durable and waterproof, bringing you a premium-quality artisanal product that checks both boxes for aesthetics and safety.

The Xemgħa Xewkija candles will be featured in the studio’s very first exhibition - Gateways and Portals. The exhibition is categorized into colours and the elements. These candles will be found in the Fire Element section of the exhibition. Fire is a portal into alchemization of matter into subtler forms, thanks to the magic of plasma. The audience is invited to welcome the magic of this exhibition and allow it to step up the next phase of their spiritual transformation.
